There was a television series that played during the 1960’s called “The Invaders”. It was a science fiction story that featured a man by the name of David Vincent. He witnessed the landing of an alien spaceship, and the aliens who climbed down from the ship looked just like us. They proceeded to infiltrate American society; their hideous goal, to take over the planet.
David was an architect, but he devoted his life to warning people of the ongoing invasion. No one listened, no one would help him, and he was in constant danger of being captured. The aliens were quickly taking their place in key positions, but they could be recognized by a little finger that stuck out sideways. When they were killed, they would glow red before disintegrating into a pile of unrecognizable ashes.
That story scared me as a child. In fact, there was a time when I was slightly suspicious of my own parents. I thought… what if they have been replaced by, The Invaders? As far as I have been able to determine, they were not. I know this, because they never tried to kill me, and I never saw either one of them trying to conceal a wayward digit.
Unfortunately, there is another invasion that has been under way these past couple of decades or so. I believe that it has been masterfully orchestrated and continues to this day. In fact, the invasion has been so successful that most of our children and a large segment of young adults in their twenties and thirties have been hopelessly overtaken.
The invasion is called Culture Creep, and it has progressed from the sexual revolution that began during the Vietnam era, and first manifested as the make love not war movement of the sixties. It is the slow but steady chipping away at society’s pillars of moral values, especially chastity, monogamy, and sexual orientation.
