No, no, no... I simply could not accept such an honor. But let me offer a heartfelt thank-you to all who have nominated me, and encouraged me to run for the highest office in the land. If only life were not so dog-gone busy.
In any case, now that we have that out of the way, I should talk about those who do have time to run for President. Of all of the hat-thrower-inners, I suppose I have the best gut-feeling about District Attorney, Arthur Branch... I mean, um... Fred Thompson. I have watched him over the years, not on his show Law & Order, but when he would appear on news programs as a former Senator giving his take on whatever.
He seems to speak with a good amount of "common-sense", and for the life of me, I have thus far, not smelled that odor. You know... the smell that leaks from most career politicans. It is kind of like a poopy diaper in the room, but you just can't seem to nail down where it is coming from.
Ron Paul is another story. There is something about the man that gives me the "willies", and now to top it off, a devout Democrat at work has Ron Paul's sticker on the window of his car. This adds a shiver for me as well.
I think many of the others are trailing that odor. What say you? Send me a comment or email about what you think, about this crop of Presidential Wannabees. Is my gut on the right track?
