For the record I am not a rocket scientist. I am not a "climate scientist" either, and I did not even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Be that as it may, I am literally brimming with common sense.
Of course, when your senses are constantly exposed to over-stimulation, often times they become hyper-sensitized. This results in extreme discomfort until the afflicted senses are given a rest. The symptoms that arise from too much bright sunlight or too much loud noise are familiar to most of us.
I have come to realize that the same phenomenon is true of the common sense as well. When the common sense is tortured day in and day out by preposterous abusers, the physical manifestations are not unlike those occurring from abusing the other senses.
Yes, I am sick of hearing the air-heads screech about the horrors of climate change. To hear politicians attribute the woes of the world to the Bush Administration's lack of concern about climate change makes me want to curl up in a fetal position and moan. When I see polls and survey questions ask if Congress is doing enough to address Climate Change, I want to turn my head and wretch on the floor.
Here are some news flashes for those who have been hood-winked into this Climate Change hysteria. The climate has been changing ever since the planet has possessed an atmosphere. There may be measurable changes taking place on the Earth, but there certainly is no consensus yet as to which way it is headed.
Congress and the President of the United States have no power whatsoever to effect the course of Climate Change on this planet or any other. It is so absurdly arrogant to believe that we have the needed knowledge or power to alter the course of the natural physics which effect the planet. Perhaps man has added some variables to the mix as the cycle of climate change evolves, but whatever effect man has is microscopic compared to the immense forces of nature.
I have heard "Climate Scientists" actually discount the effect that changes on the sun could cause climate change on the Earth. Dear God... give me a break! Take those degrees away from those people, and do so as quickly as possible.
Climate is driven by energy, and the changes in energy. The sun is the single most powerful source of energy anywhere near our planet. For Pete's sake... even the "Global Warming" frenzy itself is based on the idea that man has changed the balance of solar energy captured or reflected, so any change to the solar energy source itself (common sense moment follows) has no choice but to effect all equations related to it.
I just can't take it any more. Stop asking stupid questions about what Congress or the President is doing about "Climate Change." Congress cannot pass legislation that will have even an ounce of impact on climate change. The President cannot insist on policies that will do that either. What the Congress and the President can do, is to encourage study about how the changing climate will effect mankind, and ways for us to cope with the inevitable changes that will come.
