Who could possibly argue that every man, woman, and child in America needs access to health care? The Democrats, led by Barack Obama, are trying to cram a system down our throats that has proved to be anything but the cure. Rather, it is a system that has proved time and again to be an frustrating, uncaring, and downright dangerous.
You can find many in Canada and the U.K. who are warning America not to travel down the same road they are on with health care, but I have just had a glimpse of the problem from a source that had no intention of discussing the subject.
It was one of those documentaries (on Discovery Channel I think) about rare maladies. This one was following a family in Britain. Their child was an extremely tiny individual seemed to have some form of Primordial Dwarfism. Unfortunately, the child did not exactly fit the classic data that would lead to such a diagnosis.
One of the problems these children face, is the constant threat of having brain-bleeds. Normally, such children are routinely given MRI scans to detect such occurrences. Unfortunately, the government health care system would not authorize such scans for this family's tiny child because there had not been a formal diagnosis given.
So, despite the fact that this tiny child was beginning to suffer from headaches, the family was discussing how they were continuing to appeal to the government to get authorization.
This was not a program designed to slam the government health care system of Great Britain, yet it clearly shows what we can look forward to if we go down that path. This tiny child needed a diagnostic test to determine if a life-threatening condition was present. The government, in full bureaucratic form, was bound and determined to deny that expenditure because...
...well, because the system simply is not capable of making sound health care decisions. Decisions that should be made by the child's doctors and parents. If this child dies because of bleeding in the brain, the real tragedy will not be the disease, but it will be the government hangman's noose made of bureaucratic red tape.
Why in God's Name would we allow the Democrats to do this to us? There needs to be health care for all, but please... let us insist that health care for all is done correctly. What kind of fools would ignore such dire warnings from those who have suffered first hand? If your fool is one of those who would do this to us, then put your fool in his or her place right now. Do it before the damage is done!

I think you're confused. Passage of legislation by an elected majority of representatives does not constitute "cramming down" health care - even if you didn't vote for the majority party and don't like the legislation. It's the system the Founders put in place. What are you, some kinda commie?
