Obama says Gen. McChrystal showed poor judgement.

Well, I think that President Obama may be correct. First, General McChrystal reportedly voted for Barack Obama to become his Commander in Chief, so in that regard there is no doubt that General McChrystal showed poor judgment.

Secondly, there is no question that a military officer of any rank should hold tight lips when tempted to dis his Commander in Chief. Unfortunately, that only underscores the given truth that the General and his staff were entirely correct in their assessment of this President and his Senior staff. The white house is filled with buffoons who have no business conducting a military action of any kind. But... I suppose that the General should be canned, so as to allow him to speak his mind without hesitation or further constraint.

Kill BP Well with Bomb on a stick

Okay, I am admittedly not qualified to fix the out of control oil well spewing goo at 5000 feet beneath the surface of the Gulf of Mexico, but I would have to hear why this could not work and do so relatively quickly.

Place high explosives, configured on a rigid pole (a stick), or pipe if you will. Ease the explosives down into the now exposed throat of the BOP riser, until the explosives are at a depth of about 1000 or 2000 feet beneath the sea floor. 

Detonate the explosives, which should fracture the well bore and allow the surrounding earth to settle in and close the hole. Seems to me that if the explosives were strung out over the length of a few hundred feet, enough of the hold would be disrupted to allow the weight of the earth to seal it off?

Please let me (us) know why such a plan could not work?  Surely there is room to slide a narrowly configured package inside the casing isn't there? Boom... the gusher stops while the relief wells are continued to insure the long term closure.

BP - Underwater Robots at Work

Have you been watching the BP robots (ROV or Remote Operated Vehicles) working a mile under the sea? It is fascinating, frustrating, and mesmerizing to say the least. Recently, instead of a single feed from one of the robots, BP has instead listed all of the robots from which to choose.

High Crimes and Misdemeanors, When ICE Goes Bad

ICE Director John T. Morton has taken failure to enforce to a new level, by flat out saying he may not accept illegal immigration detainees from Arizona law enforcement officials. 

Federal Law provides for the capture, processing, and prosecution and/or deportation of people who are in violation of our nation's immigration laws. There is no murky question about it.

To deliberately refrain from carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the office that law-enforcement and national security officials hold, either by election or by Senate confirmation, seems to clearly be in violation of law, and in direct opposition to the sworn oath these people take to defend and uphold the Constitution.
 

Wikipedia's discussion of High Crimes and Misdemeanors:

High crimes and misdemeanors is a phrase from Section 4 of Article Two of the United States Constitution: "The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."
 

"High" in the legal parlance of the 18th century means "against the State". A high crime is one which seeks the overthrow of the country, which gives aid or comfort to its enemies, or which injures the country to the profit of an individual or group. In democracies and similar societies it also includes crimes which attempt to alter the outcome of elections.

 ...and so, by deliberately not waging appropriate war on those who violate our borders, how can anyone pretend that this is not giving aid and comfort to our country's enemy? 
 

Further, it seems clear to me that those aiding and comforting foreign invaders of our borders are seeking compatriot allegiances with individuals and groups for the purpose of affecting the outcome of future elections.

You can attempt to dress it up any way you please, but when you blow away all the chaff, this is what you are left with. The buck in this case starts with John T. Morton and if he fails to take corrective action, the buck rests finally and firmly on the shoulders of President Obama.

Listen up frogs - Clinton Warns 'Demonization' of Government Leads to Threats, Chides 'Right-Wing Media'

Put a frog in a pan of hot water, turn up the heat slowly, and the frog will just sit there until he boils to death. He doesn't realize that the environment he is becoming accustomed to is slowly becoming lethal.

So in other words (read Clinton's remarks), former president Clinton wants Americans who see what is happening to their liberties and to the security and prosperity of our nation, to just shut up and boil like good frogs should.

The former president, speaking on ABC's "This Week," elaborated on his controversial comments from Friday, when he drew parallels between the modern Tea Party movement and the anti-government rage of the mid-'90s that preceded the 1995 Oklahoma City attack that killed 168 people and injured hundreds more.

I don't know about  you, but the more I see of this liberal left push to shut the opposition up, the more I am convinced that we need to expose them loudly and at every opportunity. The Oklahoma City bombing was not about Americans becoming incensed about the political ideology in power. It was the misguided retaliation for the tragic incompetence of the Clinton Administration's botched handling of the Branch Davidian standoff.

What is really sad, is that President Clinton has not acknowledged that all of those deaths ride squarely on his shoulders, and that his inept choice for Attorney General (Janet Reno) is the one who set them there.

Your first reaction to this story may be to think I am nothing but a bag of nuts that has somehow learned to type. Be that as it may, it is my hope that you will reflect on what I am about to suggest. At the very least, you will become a watchful skeptic, and at the very best, you will become angry and agitated enough to stand up and say no way, not on my watch.

In the minds of people who are considered the radical liberal left, our capitalist system is not well thought of. In fact, if our economic system should collapse, and if there were a departure from our system of government, their elitist dreams would instantly come true.

 

There is no love in their hearts for our constitution. It is considered to be highly irrelevant to life in modern times, and it is always subject to creative reinterpretation based on the desired outcome of the moment.

A collapsed America would provide the perfect and long awaited opportunity to retry the communist socialist dream. It would cast off the shackles of ancient religious influences that have been so burdensome and obstructive. It would end the concept of personal enrichment, and would instead assign privilege based on the intellectual wisdom of those who know best.   (...more...)

Another Date with Infamy

Yesterday, March 21, 2010 a date which will live in infamy, the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by liberal socialist forces of the Presidential Empire of Barack Obama.

Nancy Pelosi, under the direction and encouragement of Emperor Obama has led an attack on our great nation. She did so with deliberate and treacherous forethought, just as did Isoroku Yamamoto in leading the attack on our sovereign territory at Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941.

What can be said today, except to point out the utter stupidity of making fundamental change to health care (nearly one fifth of our economy) during this time of economic turmoil. It is treacherous because it has been done in large part to give Barack Obama a victory. Democrats are sure to lose in both houses of Congress, so any bone-headed thuggery had to be performed now.

Sadly, the damage wrought by this attack may be too severe for the United States to recover from. This bomb has been dropped on millions of Americans who are without jobs. Millions are now uncounted due to the fact that they no longer make unemployment claims.

At a time when Americans are shouting, it’s the jobs stupid; Congress has instead done the most insane thing imaginable. Just as businesses were beginning to regain some measure of confidence in the economy, Democrats have dumped a massive bucket of ice cold water on their heads.

Why on earth would any business move forward with job creation when the landscape is littered with untold ramifications? Why should a small business with ninety employees consider hiring ten or twenty more, when doing so may subject that business to an unknown package of rules, regulations, and penalties? Managers and small business owners that may have considered an expansion of production capabilities yesterday are more likely than not to postpone such plans indefinitely.

Until American businesses significantly drain the pool of unemployed citizens, the economy of the United States is not going to grow to any significant degree. In light of this reckless action, the outlook for new and better jobs may cascade in the wrong direction. It is people who are working that buy things and pay taxes. Why this continues to be an insignificant side note for Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the democrats in Washington is beyond me.

When the bad employment news begins to stain the few newspapers that are still in business, just remember this new date in infamy. And remember exactly who it was that made it infamous.
